Like Siobhan

I went to a school with a Siobhan - often teacher would call her Sigh-O-ban on the first day of school

My OH likes to say Sigh-O-ban just to annoy me, and he pronounces Taoiseach (the Irish PM) Tao-si-ach cos he says that way it sounds like an eastern martial art .

How do you pronounce Taoiseach? Tea-shack?

I'm always threatening that if we have a boy ever I'll insist on naming it Oisin, my OH simply can't say it properly, it would be hilarious

I used to have a friend, Roisin. It's a beautiful name.

I named my son Kieran. But, sometimes, I wish I'd spelled it Ciaran. But then he would have even had a harder time growing up so I guess Kieran's better.

They do not pronounce rash as rarsh or trash as trarsh so what is up with tash as tarsh???

I went to school with a Ciara. Took everyone awhile to get used to saying Kee-ra.
