mgg i'll trye blue moon.. i like white beer.. they had hoegaarden (my favorite) but they took it way.. now they have something called weischstefan or something like that in white beer version..

now i usually buy red stripe (hooray! beer) or sapporo

Blue Moon ain't bad. Try Paulaner Hefeweizen instead. Same concept yet a world of a difference.

My fav's are Pilseners:

Pilsener Urquell (the original from Pilsen where it all began)

Warsteiner (easy to find in the US and not too awefully expensive ~ $10-12 per 12 pack)

Bitburger (if you can find the 0.5l can, pour it in a glass and it is almost like a draft)

Some places may also carry Staropramen (another very good Czech brew)

ah! hefeweizen.. i've seen it.. im gonna buy it..

yes.. bitburger is very tasty.. i liked that one a lot.. pilser urquell. hell yea i like it too.. cant find staropramen though

Yay, pedroh knows beer. Cool.

The only place I ever found Staropramen at was J Barleycorns and Harris Teeter's in Nashville.

Had to add: If you ever run across a bottle of Ethiopian beer (Meta, Dashen or Castel), grab it. They must have imported their brewing equipment and techniques from East Germany when Mengistu was running the Kremlin close regime there. You can't tell a difference between Ethiopian and your average German beer.

I've tried most of those. I would say the Julius Echter is the only one I haven't tried.

Heff is good for the summer.

I like:

Fat Tyre (made in Colorado)

Arrogant ####### (made near San Diego)

Anchor Steam (San Francisco, oh yeah)

Trogenator (PA) that's some hefty amount of alcohol too.

There is a great microbrewery in Tombstone AZ called 'Helldorado'....they have some really outstanding beers.

My favorite though is Guinness.
