But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I don't watch those shows cos they irritate me too much. Plus, that's time you just can't get back!!

I get sooo mad at the thought of those jumped up little sh!t heads, that I would probably do damage to our tv if I actually had to listen to them...and I don't want to harm our tv!! ;)

I watched Pardis. Wow. What a spoiled brat. And such awful fashion sense. Freakin high end rave shoes? And at her age? Blech. One can hope that when she's 99 years old she will look back and say "What the f*#k was I thinking." Unfortunately she will probably look back and say "OMG I was soooo hot back then. And look at my SHOES! Such bling."

I've seen these shows, but honestly I dont know how much of "reality tv" is actually reality. Seems like people lay it on pretty thick in the name of hollywood and show ratings.

Well, here in Brazil it's not a big deal when you turn 16..... but it is a big deal to some people when you turn 15. So I did have a big 15th birthday party. It wasn't anything like those girls had..... my parents would never spend THAT much money on something like a party! But it was kinda expensive.... pretty place, I rented a pretty dress, make up and hair done, bought a wonderful cake, very good drinks and food, invited all my family and friends (they were all dressed up..... so cute!!)..... and danced until I couldn't feel my feet anymore!

That was back in 2000 and every girl I knew was having a party like that (a lot more expensive than mine though...), so my parents asked me if I wanted to have a party too, but with $ limitation, or if I wanted to travel somewhere. I thought a lot about it..... I wanted to go to Disney very much..... but sometimes when you're a teenager you want to fit in and everyone that year was obsessed with parties. So I had mine. The budget was a little tight, my two grandmas helped some.... but we managed to throw a wonderful party without spending so much.

That year, some of my friends had parties that cost about 10 times more than mine..... but if you ask anyone they'll say mine was the best.

Would I choose the party over the trip again? No..... I'm not 15 anymore and I have other priorities. Do I regret having the party? No.... it was wonderful and everyone had a good time.

I love and respect my parents because I know that somehow they managed to give me everything I needed, most of the time even more than that, but still taught me the value of money and hard work. I had to earn most of the things I have.... but they gave me the oportunity to have them.

I'm turning 21 this month..... and I've been saving some money for the last 3 months because for my birthday I want to send my parents to a hotel for a romantic weekend.... I know it's not much, but it's a way to thank them for everything and let them know they mean the world to me. 1.gif

I caught this show one night and it made me so thankful that my father made me work and earn things, and I appreciate every last lesson he taught me (I miss him so, passed away when I was 25)

Either way, THANK YOU DAD for making me earn my car (at the time I thought it sucked, but I am so glad now) and everything else you made me work for to be proud of.

This show is great if you want to lose weight, cuz it'll make you vomit.

That is it..:) see all these girls are spoiled and stuck up cause daddy gave them anything..so they just took advantage of it.. If daddy was more strict then maybe they would not be so spoiled..

your father did the right thing and you have more respect for him.. He was a good teacher :D

Right on!!

The parents get the kids they have created - I hardly blame the kids - if the parents weren't so ineffectual and doormattish (is that a word?) their kids would have some respect for them instead of being brought up by check-book.

Money doesn't replace love, and along with love comes discipline and teaching kids how the REAL world works.

I don't care how much money you have - if you don't teach your kids to have an appreciation of it - that it must be EARNED - then they will turn out like these little horrors.

The I WANT generation is a product of the parents - sure you want your kids to have a better life than you do (I'm parent, I know how that goes) but mine sure knows that money doesn't 'grow on trees' and if you want something you need to work for it, or save for it, and sometimes you just can't have it. And acting like a brat will get you nowhere fast.

I will never watch this show cos it would just make me annoyed.

This Paradise father got the kid he deserved - far too late now to change her - what a shame.
