ohhh there are more tv shows like that one.... all about the girls who turn 16 party things - i flip in once and never again going back to that chanel - it's disturbing on how that kind of show will influence or effect the other normal teen-ager way of thinking............. i'm afraid of having my own children now

I caught this show one night and it made me so thankful that my father made me work and earn things, and I appreciate every last lesson he taught me (I miss him so, passed away when I was 25)

Either way, THANK YOU DAD for making me earn my car (at the time I thought it sucked, but I am so glad now) and everything else you made me work for to be proud of.

This show is great if you want to lose weight, cuz it'll make you vomit.

I don't even know why so many people actually get into these kind of reality tv shows, they are really a waste of time in my opinion, especially the ones like you guys are describing, don't people have better things to do with their time. I am so glad I found VJ, if I hadn't I just might have brought myself to watch one of those shows out of boredom....LOL

ARGGGGGGH. I just had a long rant on the subject and I hit a button by mistake and wiped it..arghhhh. Anyway...I'm annoyed enough to type it over again. Let me say (after reading the above post..hahahah) that I have NEVER seen this show before, but the puter was down yesterday or the day before and I was soooo bored...I was flipping through and came upon the one Anya was talking about....called My Super Sweet 16...normally don't watch 'kids' shows..ahhahaha. Anyway, I'm also not normally a fighter, but I swear I reallyyyyyyyyy wanted to punch these two girls...I watched 2 (1/2 hr each) episodes and one was just like Lisa described....they went to the car dealership, she couldn't get her 40K car ON THE SPOT, so she had a big hissy about it...and then when her mom got centerpieces for her big shebang and they cost 3000.00 less than the ones SHE wanted, she went absolutely ballstic flipping out and crying and saying ...well *I'M getting that 3000.00 then and storming off. I was soooooooo ticked when she got the car she wanted at her bday party..if you could call it that...that party cost thousands upon thousands of dollars. Spoiled little brats...I wanted to retch!!!!! M.

ohhh I saw that one the last minute of it (flipping through the tv - nothing to do) and was wondering what the heck is that guy buying her a rolex for - thought it was a sugar dady at first coz she didnt look like 16 by the way... then realized it's that show and just have to change it... just cant stand it

oh.. and btw, i DONT watch that kind of show... - just happen to saw it from time to time through flippin the tv

OMG can't be...that would be amazing, because I agree..when I've been up at 3am I've caught a couple of the Simple Life (first time this year) and I was astounded..but she's an angel compared to these brats! Iwould have to see it with my own eyes! and first time I ever watched this too! likely the last...I can't stand watching them treat their parents that way..granted, some of it is TV..but no way all of it..these chicks think they are ENTITLED> and anyone like that drives me nuts. I really admire a couple celebrities i read about lately..can't remember who..Cameron Diaz I think..she said..I'm not going to hand my kids a new car and an apartment and all of that..when I have kids and they get older they are going to go get a job. Way to go girl! Helping is one thing...making them dependent and incapable is another. M.

omG, this show made me soooo sick!!! I was flippin around & found it...on Women's Entertainment, no less (don't get me started on THAT either ) Anyways, it's a reality show about immensely spoiled daughters that make Paris Hilton look levelheaded!!!

This girl...Pardise Mossleman was celebrating Persian New Year. In addition to this father throwing his almost 30 year old daughter a $200k party, he bought her a new house ($800k) cos she hated the view of her old one...bought her a new Mercedes (she's owned 25 in ten years), jewelry, dresses, etc.

Now I'm not hatin on Pardise cos you go girl if you can get it....but homegirl was such a snot! They went Mercedes shopping, and he was not convinced about buying her this new one...she BROUGHT HER PERSONAL LAWYER to bicker with him...and when that didn't work and he still said no...SHE LEFT HIM ALONE AT THE DEALERSHIP. Now I'm sure a man of such wealth does not have a problem getting home...but where is the respect??? omG!

Then he buys her the car as a suprise....he calls her down to the dealership to meet him...she walks in & he's stood there with the car & a bow on it. She never stops talking or walking...she grabs the bow, puts it in his hands, and gets in the car and says 'you gonna open those doors so i can leave?' and LEAVES!!!

It made me so sad...one thinks if money were no object, life would just be perfect...but his wealth has raised a spoiled, unprepared for life, self centered, weak, self indulgent, nasty, etc etc daughter. I could not believe my eyes. For all the money in the world, he's raised a parakeet in a cage.

I am truly aghast...really. I thought Paris Hilton not knowing how to write a check was bad, but this...omG, this was something entirely different.

I stumble a day on my sweet 16... Never thought of a day a show like this...

I started working at the age of 16 trying to get money to buy what i wanted to buy...

I think it s the best thing s that my parents did for me let me work, babysitting kids to get my own money...

I would like to see those 16 sweet girls in 10 years to see where they are into life...

This girl had a birthday party bigger thna any weddings I have been to... What the parents are thinking ?

Yes it's very vomit worthy.

And it does influence girls, unfortunately. One of my friends, her aunt was throwing one of these parties for her daughter who was turning 16. It turned into an expensive affair, but they aren't rich at all, are in debt in fact, but they had to do it to "keep up with the Joneses". (of course they didn't have to) It was really stupid of them to do, when they couldn't afford it and had to borrow money from people and go into debt for it. Even if you can afford something like that, I still don't see why it's necessary to have a party that costs even more than a wedding for the 16th bday.
