:crying: So.......I finally decided to POST to get some feedback from others. I sent the K-1 Visa request to the California Processing Center on February 3, 2006. I received the NOA1 on February 15 with a receipt date of February 7. I keep checking daily and my case has not even been "touched". I keep reading how others show that there case is "touched" but my case has nothing as of yet. I called today and the guy at the USCIS service center tells me that CSC is processing February 3 receipt date and I should hear within a month. :(

Don't know about anyone else but this waiting has me CRAZY........I have been getting into little arguments with my fiancee because we are both miserable. I really miss him and I am tired of all the waiting........HELP!!!!!

just wanted to say good luck with the waiting. i wouldn't worry too much about the lack of "touch." mine was approved on april 26- i had a receipt date of feb. 2, and there wasn't a single touch between those times. (well, one to cash the check, but that hardly counts.) it seems like this is pretty common as well.

good luck!

Welcome to the club! :) Lots of us are waiting for that magical day when the NOA2 arrives with those glorious words of approval. And we all go batty, that's what the Off-topic forum is for, it really relieves some stress. Try not to let it get to you, it's hard to wait, but every single one of us knows that our sweeties are so worth the wait :luv:

Hope your NOA2 gets there soon! Good luck :)

It will eventually come, I know the waiting is tough but just hang in there, I waited 3 months for NOA2 so I know how you are feeling. Also once you get it, you have to realize you will be dealing with the Jamaican embassy and everything will be on Jamaican time "NO WORRIES" if you know what I mean.

My fiances interview is May 9th so it has taken 7 months from NOA1 till interview, there have been a couple people that have went through much faster but mine has taken a long time.

There is a lot more wiating so just hang in there.

I just got home from working 14 hours and this was the first post on my nightly check of VJ. I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one going "batty" or having stupic small fights about nothing. Today, I decided that we should not talk to each other for one week, to see if it would help me look forward to hearing his voice instead of checking my status on the USCIS website every day. But then 5 mintues after hanging up I realized that was a stupid idea. But since he agreed and acted like it was a good idea, I don't want to look insane and call him tonight. So I guess I'm going to have a seriously bad night. My first night since becoming serious not talking to my baby. I guess I will learn not to come up with dumb ideas to try to end my frustration with USCIS. I have stoped hoping for my NOA2 and keep hoping for a "touch". Then I feel guilty for not being able to wait, because people have been waiting longer then we have, then the cycle starts all over. Anyway I wish we could all be approved and out of this crazy process.

Try not to let this process get in the way of your relationship, that is the most important thing right now. I know how very hard it is though. My finace and I are feeling the stress of it too, we don't really get to talk on the phone that much during the week because of the big time difference between the states and South Korea, but we IM each other every day, and have dates every Saturday and Sunday. It never fails on the weekends we get into some kind of tiff lately too, because of the stress of all of this, it is very understandable. I know what you are going through. You just have to be there for one another and try to understand each other and try to get through the little fights, but don't push each other away during this process, you need each other more than ever right now.

Stacey,

You are right this is not the time to push away. I'm just so happy to hear that ohter people are having little fits with their fiance. I have been really down this last weekend, I didn't realize that it would be this hard. Every day all I can think about is this process is in the way of my dreams. I have wiated so long to find someone who is perfect for me. I don't want to wait another second. It is nice to know that other people are going through the same frustrations. My familiy and friends really don't understand the stress. So of course I'm going to call him today and tell him that we need to talk every day, because I miss him and need to talk to him to get through this.

Rhonda
