Hey eveyone,

I'm not really sure if this is the right forum to post this in, as my husband already has his 2 year Green Card. (He got it around December.)

Here's my question:

We are wanting to go back to Montreal for a week this coming October. When we filed for my husband's AOS, we only applied for the EAD and not the Travel Authorization. So, now that he has his Green Card, is he able to go back to Montreal for a vacation? Or, do we need the Travel Authorization document?

We don't want to plan a big trip to see the family, and him not be able to get back home to the States. Especially since our son will be 2 months old at that time. He would be crushed, being seperated from us.

Thanks for the help :)

- Jenn

My wife and I also used her greencard for the first time to leave the country. We went to Windsor, Canada for the Easter weekend.

My wife is from Thailand, and naturally is still using her Thailand Passport. Normally, Thai people need a Canadian Visa to enter into Canada. However, since she is now a LPR of the USofA, she was able to cross into/back from Canada with no problems! It was great!

Peace!
