A friend of mine says she is using the website surveystorage.com to earn quite a bit of money each month just from taking online surveys. On their website it says they were talked about in USA Today and a few other places. I was just curious if anyone else has done something like this? It just seems waaaay too easy. There is a fee to sign up and then after that a $15 monthy fee. What do you think?

My problem is with the sign up and $15 monthly fee. If it's so profitable, for the survey taker, just deduct this $15 from the "earnings" each month. Money up front just shouts, "Scam!"

I've heard a lot of those. I even tried to see how it is using a bogus name. One site ask for social security number, credit card number (for the monthly charge), address and other personal information before you can start.

I know a person who said she has earned about $35 for a week, just by completing the surveys and signing up. It is not worth the risk. Besides, it doesn't pay much otherwise majority of the people will prefer to stay home and do surveys. There's even one site trying to pose as a work-at-home employer, offering training like a regular call center. It turns out to be scam.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

I just read their FAQ and it looks like they're a databse of all of the companies offering money for taking surverys.

Why can't you deduct my membership fee from my earnings?

We have no connection with the online survey companies you will be working for. You register directly with them, and all further communication is between you and them, so it is technically impossible to deduct anything from your earnings.

I'm thinking this will be a big NO! Too bad sounded so easy.

i joined a free one where you are suposed to earn money for completing online surveys, wasnt expecting much but it was free, so i tried. so far all the surveys sent to my email have been for ten pence a time if you can finish the survery which i never can  i'm never what they r looking for so just ended up with prize draw entrys. oh but i did get 12p for writing a review on a product i bought  oh well.

but then it not cost me anything to try and they dont have my bank details, so no loss just junk mail. i would be very dubious of anything like this that you would be charged for. they need you not the other way round.

i am a member of a couple of paid survey sites but none where I have to pay a monthly fee... I don't make a lot of money but it is a lot for what little you have to do... lol

I got a 10 dollar gift certificate from Walgreen's once.. paid for hubby's prescription.... I had to get 1500 points.. took me a month or two but hey I saved 10 bucks...

I have prolly made about a hundred and 50 bucks or so in a year or so (i am not quite sure, I have never totaled it all up) ..like I said not big money but that is from just answering a few questions and reading an email here and there.... but it wouldn't be enough to make a living off of..

So if they are not connected with the survey companies, what exactly do they do for your monthly fee??
