I am thinking I don't need to write a really long interview review here, as the interview is really just an official step to give you a visa. Nothing to worry about before the interview. For my case, the interviewer was a lady and she does not interested in our dating and marriage story, instead, she said to us everything is in order TWICE. So to be just official, she asked me how long I have been in Canada and where we met. And that's it. It only took 2 minutes! Though we brought many documents, she does not care as everything is approved at NVC. Therefore, for anyone who is going to the interview, don't get worried. It is really a very easy step.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank every VJ here. The trick worked well for us.

It has been exactly 1 year being away from my hubby. But we did get through it. I am moving to home end of April. Really excited. :)

April 28 2007 sent I-130 to NVC

May 22 2007 application transfered to CSC

July 11 2007 received NOA1, decide to apply CR1 instead of K3

Aug 14 2007 touched (not sure if it is touched before Aug 14)

Aug 21 2007 NOA2 in snail mail :)

Aug 27 2007 NVC received our case, number is assigned.

Sep 11 2007 DS3032 and AOS bill generated and mailed out

Sep 12 2007 mailed out DS3032 from Canada and hubby mailed AOS bill in US. DS3032 will arrive NVC 3 days slower than AOS bill.

Sep 18 2007 Auto msg says NVC received DS3032, didn't mention AOS bill yet.

Sep 24 2007 IV fee bill generated

Oct 8 received IV fee bill. Still waiting for 864form

Oct 13 received 864form letter. It was issued on Sep 24 at NVC. Mailed out 864 on Oct 15

NVC agent said they don't receive IV fee bill nor 864. Send out IV fee bill again end of Oct.

Nov 8 IV fee bill entered to system

Nov 12 DS230 generated. But agent still said 864 is not received yet.

Nov 20 resend out 864 again(Hubby forgot to write case number on documents last time)

Nov 27 NVC Auto message said received 864, now waiting for 230

Nov 29 230 delivered. Will arrive at NVC next day.

Dec 3 NVC received 230 and put into its system

Dec 13 NVC operator told us the case is in administrative process.

Dec 14 Called operator again, and magically the case is completed!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Moving to Seattle, much better weather than in Toronto here.....:)
