We have our interview on the 28th of March (Dominican Republic, Sto Dgo.)

Does anyone have a quick rundown of the most important paperwork that i should never ever forget to bring. also, when buying airline tickets I just ran into some hearsay that my fiance will also need a 2 way ticket with a Return flight? is this true, because i was just planning on buying the flight one way for her.

Last but not least, anyone have an experiences with the infamous green slip, recently(in Santo Domingo)?

Thanks in advance!

I can't say for DR, but your fiance(e) needs to bring everything you've already sent to USCIS PLUS any other proof of relationship that you have. You should look into the guides here for the paperwork s/he needs to bring (the DS forms, I-134, proof of the USC's citizenship, etc).

Your fiance(e) CAN buy a one-way ticket since s/he is emigrating to the U.S. HOWEVER, it seems that roundtrip tickets are usually cheaper (they were in our case). You just won't use the second trip...

First of all congradulations! You're finally to the countdown! I know exactly how you must feel because my fiancee's interview is on April 7 in SD. Nervousness and anticipation! Have you called the Visa Information Center to confirm all the materials you should bring? From what I understand, we should take copies of all the same materials we submitted when we filed our I-129F. The NOA letters wouldn't hurt either. And then obviously all the supporting documents listed on the packet your SO received (link below). That along with further, more recent evidence of relationship should be it.

As you are probably aware of, there is a lot of heresay and legends about the US Embassy in the DR. Many well-meaning Dominicans gave us consejos which later turned out to be untrue. Your best bet is to confirm everything with someone in the Embassy (if you are there in person now) or with the Visa Information Center a few days before the interview.

For example, one thing that almost burned us is the fact that they will not accept a regular birth certificate from the beneficiary; it must be legalized by the Junta Central Electoral and in the in extensa format.

I wish you all the best and please drop me a line with how it turned out and with any consejos for me!
