We talked about this before we sent off the I-129F. We mailed everything in September and I told my (now) husband that if we didn't have an answer by the following June - or if he were to be denied a visa - then I'd move back to Brazil during that summer.

Probably not ... *both* our careers are much higher-paid and more in-demand in the US (he does arts administration and I'm a Spanish interpreter) ... actually we got married while he was here on a temp work visa because he couldn't even get an *unpaid* internship in his field in the UK, most people in his field go overseas for work experience.

what about people with kids who can't bring them along? i wouldn't think its so cut and dry like that.

At the time our visa proceesed, my answer would have been 'no'. I wasn't moving because my son was still young. Wes has virtually no family left in Northern Ireland. It didn't make sense for us to live there.

Our relationship would not have been over but it definitely would have been on hold..the living together bit would have been on hold.

After we married and Wes moved here, there was a time we thought we might HAVE to go back. I then told my son we might be going back to Europe - Wes was my husband and my duty was to him. I believe my son probably would have stayed in America in with his Father. That would have been devastating to me.

We may still need to return to Europe at some point. I just hope if that ever becomes necessary, my son is out of college; married; and established.

So true. Although I wouldn't have an issue with moving to England, taking 3 kids is tough, especially since you need the other parent to consent, which is often no easy task. And I truly love my husband.

actually this is the position we are in now, the k1 was denied, now married we hope better luck but if not i am not in a position to move anytime soon. I am in charge of my elderly mother, i perfer to not live in morocco but i guess time will tell. We will fight to continue as long as we can but i feel that sometimes there could always be a time and a place when both realize its just not possible.

I love British Columbia, so it really wouldn't be a hard decision. I seriously considered moving there anyway.

Also, I must compliment you on the poll Sereia. I was surprised when it was both "choose one" and complete. That doesn't happen here very often.
