I filed my wife's k-3 visa process here in the states. Her interview will be overseas. From what I have seen and heard, the nvc will mail all my documents to the embassy overseas. Since the embassy will have all the documents, will my wife need to take copies? For example, ds-230, ds-156, ds-157, i-134, copies of my w-2's, and proof of financial support. I know if the process would have taken place overseas, she would have to, because the embassy doesn't ask for all of the document's until the interview. Since the embassy will already have the doc's will she need to take copies? god bless, and happy easter!!!

The easiest answer is yes. Just to be sure as you never know what they might or might not ask for. Be sure also to make copies of all the documentation they ask for in Packet 3 just so that you have copies in case they ask for extra. Better to be safe then sorry!
