The travel stamps and boarding passes are not required for spousal visas, they are needed for K-1 fiancee visas to prove being in same place.

But comparing your list to the CR-1/IR-1 guide you look fine.

SEE: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide1

Also consider carefully not filing the I-129F later. Compare timelines CR-1 in most cases has been taking a little longer, and results in Green Card, NO adjustment of status ($1010) like K-3. CR-1 also is work auth, so can work imediatly upon entry to the USA, K-3 has to wait 90 days or more to get EAD.

Applicant:

Be sure to put your name and Alien Registration Number in the box outlined by heavy border below.

Can somebody confirm? Does the petitioner name ( my name ) go in both 325A or does her name go in hers and mine go on my 352A?

................................................................................

.....

your name doesn't go on both boxes outlined by heavy border, put your name on your own g-325a( all 4)... your spouse need to put her name on her own g-325a( all 4).

FAQ: 3.9.1....On form G-325A, where can I get the file number started with "A-" ( it is the far right box of the first row of boxes) for both me and my fiance. Also in the last box with the heavy border how would I put my fiance's alien registration number there while she has none. Can I just leave it blank. (This applies to ALL visas (K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1)

http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1k2visa-I129f.html#3.9.1

At this point the benificiary does not have an A# leave it blank or put N/A there.

Your name on your G-325A, and their name on their G-325A

ok thanks....another question. Is the Cover Letter really needed? my wife and i wanted to do the K3 because we thought it would be faster. Since we have to wait for the NOA1 before we file the I-129f we have some time to decide. How long after the NOA1 do we have before it is too late to send in the I-129f if we decide on that method?

Any time after NOA1 BUT not later than NOA2

USCIS mentions a cover letter several times on their packaging page, cover letter indicates to them what is being petitioned for, and the content of the package.

Your cover letter is mostly written. You can use the list in your first post of the thread as the table of contents. I would definitely do so. You've got time between now and Monday to decide about whether you want a K3. Check the timelines and think it over as to expense and time until work authorized etc.

i checked some of the timelines...is it just me ...or is the approval time and rate getting much faster in 2008?

Petition approval seems to be speeding up but NOA2 is just the end of the USCIS part of the process. You need to Consulate specific timelines for the whole process. Maybe check back for 2006 overall timelines for your Consulate.

quick question....how are the service center assigned? is it random or is based on where you petition from?

Petitioner's residence State unless they need to shift to balance the workload.
