Hello all. My EAD was approved yesterday and CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED (3/21) and I checked uscis web site and tried to find answer whether I m able to work lets say from this coming monday? & havent found the answer. Or do I have to wait until I really have EAD in hand? Well, I could work for my mother in law from now on for next few days coz it only temporary until her cook will be back from sick leave.

Feb 23, 2008 - received NOA for BIO App.

March 5, 2008 - AP I-131 - approval sent

March 11, 2008 - AP received with wrong date of birth

March 12, 2008 - applying again for AP

March 18, 2008 - Biometrics Appointment Tampa (for I-485 & I-765)

March 21, 2008 - EAD Card Production Ordered

March 25, 2008 - EAD Approval Notice sent

April 23, 2008 - AOS Card Production Ordered

April 23, 2008 - Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident

April 29, 2008 - Received GREEN CARD

Sept 21, 2009 - Divorce

Dec 9, 2009 - I left USA to go back home

Timeline

You can actively seek work, but an employer wont employ you without proof of work authorization, that is the EAD card.

SEE requirement of form I-9 used by employers.

Thank u U&Dan, I read that form u gave me and it sound like I never had to quit my job!

Says I have to show my receipt (NOA1) and show my work permit within 90 days. I would work again for my mother in law and she know all this steps I m going through so she knows I ll get my EAD card within few days.

I sent it to her too so she ll check it out. Thank u very much!!! :thumbs:
