yeah this is a long one. i've been reading it for 2 days at work....coz thats when i have the most free time. you guys have been seriously cutting into my prep work for our trip thru POE, AOS, & EAD....i wanna read the AOS forum & check the guides but i can't stop coming here.

I don't know, I think the crowd got bored a while back. Either Boo-hoo does believe the ####### he is peddling, in which case he is the worst sort of racist - one that can't see anything wrong with his views or he's simply winding up the round-about which is in the worst possible taste as he is using such an inflammetory topic to do so.

Are you suggesting that you didn't insinuate that people from some cultures can't organise a piss up in a brewery? Are you suggesting that it wasn't you who insinuated that African Americans are stupid for not getting on boats back to their homeland when they were forced to ride at the back of buses or use black only fountains? Suggesting that its all a joke is just an excuse to avoid dealing with the stuff he's saying, or being able to pull together the threads of a very disparate argument where he essentially has no point.

Especially when he's been called out on his poor-poor ability to analyse economic and census statistics, considering the pride he takes in his declared educational qualifications. I find that strange to say the least. Did he post these census statistics for a "joke"? I've got to say... I highly doubt it.

I must have missed the satirical irony in the "X% are not black. who cares".

I did however miss even the most basic analysis of the demographic data. Which I had to point out to him.

You did not call out ####. The only thing you "called out" is how naive and biased you are towards someone with opposing views; who refuses to back down. This is not the first nor the last time you are guilty of asking for evidence then dismissing the evidence you asked for in the first place.

Its not about "opposing" views - for one thing I'm not even sure what your views really are, other than what PH has summarised above. Further, you aren't and haven't presented ANY evidence that supports those claims.

As for "dismissing" the evidence you did present - my pointing out that proportionality matters in a discussion of those census poverty statistics (or indeed of white Vs. black slavery in the US) is hardly that.

As I say, someone who claims to have an advanced degree in economics would surely be willing to discuss the statistical information to a higher level of detail than simply pulling off high level (national-level) statistics and saying "X% aren't black. Who cares". That is far more dismissive than anything I've said.

As I say - your lack of analysis is far more telling than your simply stating that I am naiive and biased. I am at least, following a chain of thought in relation to what you've said. You're pulling words out of the air.
