Pat Buchanan: Black Americans should be grateful we brought them over on slave ships!

So he finds one article on White slavery and presents it as something new and shocking. Here's the Monmouth Rebellion for nothing.

So I say.... So what?.

Is the argument now going to be about equivalency?

This just gets more and more delusional.

ah of course. So slavery under the ottoman empire does not count. The extermination of Jews also does not compare with having two separate water fountains. White slavery is also water under a bridge. My experiences or anyone I have spoken to does not count. Have I left anything out??

Basically as LuckyStrike put it, slavery is bad unless you're Jewish or White.

I think you guys need to come down to use the latest GE MRI machine. Free of charge..

I can't help but notice how you dismiss all references to modern manifestations of racism in the U.S. that can't, even by your standards, be pinned on the black population's own wrongdoings. Your solution (from yesterday) for black people who didn't want to sit at the back of the bus: go back to Africa! Of course!

It seems that acknowledging such things as Jim Crow laws just doesn't fit into your "it's their own damn fault" viewpoint, so you bring in all sorts of irrelevant nonsense.

Are you familiar with PBS's Eyes on the Prize documentary series? Your local library probably has it for check-out. Watch just one installment. The fact that some of these events occurred recently enough to be filmed is what's staggering. Check it out.

But if you want to get into it - the Holocaust did bring about the State of Israel. And yes - there are Jewish militant/extremist groups within that country. Different problems - but certainly there is resentment in the Jewish community.

While I can't speak for Israeli Jews (I've never lived there, so I don't know what it'd be like as an Israeli), I do know that for most American Jews, the overall resentment towards the Germans -- who I assume you were speaking about before -- has faded with time and each successive generation.

It stands to reason that I'd be far more "fair-minded" towards Germans than my grandfather -- I never got drafted into WWII and fought against those very same people, nor did I find out my contemporaries were being exterminated. Those types of events can shape and/or change a person.

No I don't mean the Germans - By resentment I'm talking about attitudes toward anti-semitism or more specifically the perception of anti-semitism.

How many pages back did you have to click LS or did you remember that all by yourself? It goes to show that perhaps your memory is not all that gone. Gives you hope for actually learning something about the topic you are evading.

That would translate to several increases in BOLD signals throughout your frontal cortex if the hippocampal formation allows it to be committed to long term memory. I suspect it could be possible.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Clearly, African Americans should shut up and pull themselves up by their boot straps. The reason that more of them haven't done so already is an indication that they are of inferior genetic material. The evidence for this line of reasoning is:

1) The % of African Americans that are in jail is far greater than the % of Other Americans in jail so clearly they are predisposed to criminal tendancies.

2) African American's failed to free themselves from slavery in the beginning. They could easily have said 'no' to being slaves or returned to their homeland. That they did not shows again their inferiority. After all, what sensible person would have stood for this treatment?

3) African American's today rely on the 'race card' to get anything they want. If they don't get something, they'll complain long and loud until they do get it by making Other Americans feel guilty about what happened to them in the past.

4) African American's like living in ghettos because they have a sense of identity with like people, can threaten non African Americans who 'enter' their territory and can indulge in the 'gang' culture that they are so fond of.

Word up yo!

(Free genotyping available here for those genetic markers of inferiority). For a modest, extra fee we can also throw in a couple of extra PCR genotypes for AGTR2 and GDI1) to test for mental retardation susceptibility genes.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

So the question that begs to be answered...

What happened to BY to shape (or warp) his mind? Maybe he can answer if he cares. Which he probably won't.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

To make BY happy I'll mention the Ottoman Empire.

Yes they had extensive slavery - but the dynamic was slightly different; there was a caste system for one thing. Slaves under the Ottoman rulers served in the empire's armies and could achieve high political office* (if you were a man). If you were a woman, your lot was considerably grimmer.

*this used to be the case in Ptolemaic Egypt, and perhaps before that.

Of course BY might be wondering why former Ottoman Empire countries don't go around listening to hippity hop music and doing drive-bys; because every situation must play out the same right....? Still it wouldn't be inaccurate to suggest that social inequalities persist in the muslim/arab world - specifically in its treatment of women.

And no, BY this isn't to suggest that I think this or any form of slavery is "OK". It isn't.

I just got a postcard from my local school district. 8 kids got perfect SAT scores this year. It lists their names with their pictures. 6 of them are either indian or east asian. The other two are white, the names sound slavic.

That, in a town full of black people and italian people. Black people are historically underprivileged. What about those goombahs? They just must be fukcin' stupid.

Whoah there bucko - that's not my point. I'm (still) addressing the article you posted on white slavery and your apparent suggestion that evidence of white slaves should stand by itself to speak to an equivalent tragedy and historical/social legacy. Many problems with that rationale. As I've said.

Yes I know. You said there weren't as many involved.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

bla bla bla

Where did you get all of these points from?

The anecdotal "when I was on holiday" and "look at the audience reaction in this video" to define "the black community"

Yes, I forgot. Only you are allowed to have an opinion.

So what exactly did I dismiss again.

My solution. It wasn't a solution at all. It was a statement directed at Wright and anyone else white, black, pink etc etc who hates the nation.

PS I thought I specifically said go to London..

I would like to see you say that to my face.
