I have to see how the work schedule is for us. I work two jobs. He works long hours on his one. We both asked off this Saturday (the 5th) for the Cardinal game. So, I'm not sure we can get off another Saturday so soon. We'll try.

If not, please keep us on your list for any future gatherings. Just warn us long in advance.

We had a St. Louis gathering in October and it was so much fun. I went to one in Chicago and one in Washington, D.C. for another board I am on. It's always been a blast.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

We are.

Having passed by Mimi's cafe over the weekend, it appears to have minimal outdoor seating (like 5 tables). Unless of course, I missed something.

Is the date firmed up or are we adjusting to include all KC residents (and others from St. Louis)?

I'm good with the date. It has to be decided soon, cuz I'll be asking for that Sunday off.

As for the Mimi's Cafe, I haven't been there. Wasn't that impressed with the menu, but I'm willing to try if that's what you guys decide.

Sunday?

I thought it was Saturday (good night for drinking). Sunday is a good day for coffee. :D

Wondering if O'Dowds was good enough for a second visit?

Or alternatively: a Japanese steakhouse on Barry Road, Ted's Montana grill, Smokehouse BBQ, Jose Pepper's and so forth.

We need to formulate consensus on the venue.

So we have the restaurants, I'll put in order I'd be more interested. For the record, I wouldn't mind going to O'Dowds again, I loved it, but if you guys prefer something different we have several options. Let's vote:

Same as first meeting: O'Dowds - what can I say, I just loved it.

http://odowdslittledublin.com/pdf/odowds_zonarosa_menu.pdf

1 - Bravo Cucina Italiana - I love italian food, so I'd definitely go there. They're a bit expensive, though.

2 - Granite City Food & Brewery - i like the menu, looks like a nice place to meet

http://www.gcfb.com/menu/menu.cfm

3 - Tomfooleries - interesting menu. I could try that.

4 - Mimi's Cafe - menu didn't attract me at all, but they have beer, so we're good :P

5 - Hereford House - love the menu, well, steak, what's not to like. Maybe too heavy food for a meeting we intend to talk more than chew. A bit too expensive.

6 - Swagat - indian cuisine, I like it but maybe not the best choice for a meet-up.

7 - Smokehousebbq - again, steak, heavy food..

PS: yes, I'm extremely bored at work with nothing better to do other than read menus
