I saw a documentary once with the polyandry thing, some Asian country...sorry that sounds really bad but it was seriously just some tiny rural Asian country I'd never heard of, so I don't remember.

It really SUCKED for the woman featured. She married technically the eldest son and they had like, you know, a personal and loving sort of relationship. But culturally she was the wife of all his brothers too. I think the youngest was like 12 so probably about to be At That Age and dear god And yeh, you're required to spend equal time with all the husbands, play musical beds, and it was talking about there's jealousy sometimes amongst the men and obviously in this case it was bad for the woman and the eldest since they started the relationship first. And then the poor 12 year old by the time he's older his wife is gonna be like 40 when he's 20.

And I just think personally I don't know how the rest of ya'ls bodies work but I'd be SORE

Forgive AND forget? I don't think that is possible. Forgive? Maybe. I think that if the spouse is truly sorry (and to be truly sorry he could never do it again) then there should be forgiveness. Could I forgive? Probably not. I don't think I'm a strong enough person. I think that I would obsess on the action and not the reasons for it or see my own marriage and what was good about it in the first place. I just hope I'm never tested. It's not actually one of my fears in my marriage. Of course, it could happen, but I don't think it will with my husband, and I know I'm not going to ever cheat.

Mine comes from a culture that allows multiple wives. His father has 2 and I have met both of them . His culture also calls for him to " marry" his brother widow in certain cases. If we are spending our time in his country as we plan to as we get older I am not sure how all of this will play out Right now he is saying only one wife. But will this change in time ? ( I also understand that his culture allows me to have a wife )

Is it cheating if your spouse has multiple wives ? I am NOT refering to in the US where it isn't legal , but if you are in a place that is it allowed .

Once a cheater, always a cheater. I told this to my husband and he simply replied...

IF A MAN REALLY CHANGE FOR GOOD, THEN THERE IS NO REASON FOR HIM TO CHEAT AGAIN.

If this happens to me, i would totally block my husband and kick his ###! It takes time to heal.... the hurts not the ###, ok!

If he's sorry after he gets caught then I will take it that he is just sorry for getting caught and not really sorry that he cheated and hurt me.

I was cheated before and it was totally devastating. I was able to forgive but I was never able to forget and though we tried to work it out, things just went downhill.

Now, with Rick, I don't know if i will be able to give a second chance if ever (God forbids) he cheats on me. I know I will be able to forgive but I will never be able to forget and I might as well just end it right there and then.
