I have been waiting for my GC and was planning ahead of time to file for the amendment of my passport as I would like to change my single name to my married name. However, I just renewed my passport before I left the Philippines and will not be due for renewal until February 2012. If anyone from here who have experienced undergoing amendment with an unexpired passport filing at the LA consulate please share your experience. :)

Thanks so much spidergirl. I already printed the forms and such but still curious if you can do the amendment even if your passport is not expired yet?
