Hi all,

Just wanting to check and see if I understand the process:

We sent our paperwork to Nebraska last Wednesday (Mar. 12th).

It was signed for in Nebraska the next morning (Mar. 13th).

Our check cleared the bank yesterday (Mar. 20th). The stamp on the back of the check says California--I'm assuming that all NE petitions are being processed in CA now? There are some numbers stamped and written on the check, but I assume they are not traceable on the USCIS website?

We now just wait for two different letters: one that extends my husband's Permanent Residence for one year, the other an appointment letter for biometrics. We will find our traceable case # on both of those letters, correct?

After biometrics, we could get a letter approving us, or we may get an appointment for a interview. At any time up until the 10 year Permanent Resident Card is sent, they could send us an RFE.

Not that staying on top of things will hurry things up at this stage, but I like to know what to expect...

Please correct me if I'm missing something.

That is pretty much the scenario (except my husband was transferred TSC > VSC).

One thing...the only traceable number on the USCIS website will be the case number that comes on his biometrics NOA. Even the receipt NOA states this.

You may or may not get another letter for an interview. Hopefully the next letter you get after extension of status & biometrics appointment, is a notice of approval! :)

08/17/08: Mailed N400 to TSC

08/19/08: USPS attempted delivery

08/20/08: TSC received N400

08/21/08: TSC cashed check

09/02/08: Received NOA...........Priority date: 08/20/08

..............................................Notice date : 08/22/08

09/02/08: Received Biometrics Notification

09/18/08: Biometrics completed - Charlotte DO

10/24/08: Received Interview Letter

12/08/08: Interview @ 1:00pm. APPROVED!

01/05/09: Oath Ceremony 10:00AM. Now officially a USC!!!
