Hi All,

Got a question for you...

I am currently doing Optional Work Training (OPT) on an F-1 Visa which will be expiring in June this year. Even though i know i could get legally get married today while on this OPT visa, i want to apply for the K-1 visa so that we have more time in knowing that marriage is DEFINATELY for us. The plan so far is that i will go home to ireland in June, apply and then just wait for my interview.

However, i just started looking at the I-129F and i saw question 12. this question asks is currently in the US and they also gave you space to write in your 1-94 Number etc. My question is the following, can i start my process at the beginning of May while i am still here legally on OPT Visa as a way to get a head start. I will be home in June to recieve all my NOAs etc.

Anyone with any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!!!
