Thank you everyone for your answers and advice. Without your support, we would have no clue how to do anything.

We just filed in my AOS....a bit late....9 days after the 90 days on K-1 visa but hopefully it will be ok? My husband recently lost his job right before we were getting ready to file, so we had to gather more supporting documents. My husband called some online help number and they said we have 15 grace days period....whatever bogus they came up with.....we went to see the san antonio immigration office and there's no such thing.

Anyway, we were wondering what are the next steps we should be awared of and what other payments do we need to expect? (We had no idea the AOS would have cost 1,010 bucks! Poor research on our part) THANK YOU!

Yes we did. :)

I thought so, but figured I'd ask. You will be fine.

After the costly $1,010, you pretty much have the expenses front covered until conditions-removal time. However, you might incur notable travel expenses for getting biometrics and interviews done, depending on your location.

You will get your NOA's for whatever you filed (AOS, EAD, AP) then you will receive a letter for your biometrics appointment that will be at your nearest USCIS service center. There you will go to get your picture taken and fingerprints done. Both of these things were included in the cost of the AOS so the only expense is getting there and back

I hope that since your husband just lost his job you were able to find a cosponsor or had assets to cover it?
