Hi folks,

My wife will be entering here approximately the 1st week of April. At the same time I am in the process of moving to a new apartment for us, and the move will be final on April 10th.

I have a question... Should we be expecting any papers or anything in the mail right after she arrives?

I ask this because we are thinking to just go ahead and change her address on file after she gets here. Would that be a problem, or should she do this at the airport?

My wife knows, and is familiar with my old address. It has also been the address we used through this whole process, so that is why I think we should just use it up until after she enters the country. We would be changing this immediately, but I just want to be on the lookout for any papers, or know if there is any problems associated with this.

Thanks!!!

For K-3 NOTHING will arrive by mail after arrival, they will expect you to file AOS sometime in the future after arrival, do AOS after you move.

All she has to do is put new address on the I-94 card processed at the POE.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Correction. She will have to send in an AR-11 and the USC sponsor spouse will have to send in the I-865. Whether or not you've sent in the AOS yet, the I-130 is still pending adjudication, so both forms are necessary.

I had the exact same scenario when I got here with my K3 in 2003. My husband moved right before my interview, and even though I had put our new address on the DS forms at the consulate, when I entered the POE they told me to send in an address change form for both of us so that the I-130 NOA would be sent to the correct address.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
