hubby doesn't think he will get the job and he says they kind of talked him into keeping his job that he has now....

They were wondering why he wanted to quit because he makes good money there and he told them that it wasn't all about the money.... Then they asked him, "what if we can't give you 17 bucks an hour?

and hubby said, " as long as I would make about $16.50 an hour., it will be fine" ....

then they said, "well you said it wasn't all about the money."

and hubby said, "I do have a family to support." ...

hubby said he liked the work environment there though... it was nice and clean and the work looked pretty easy...

but it looks like for now that hubby is going to keep his old job.... I really want him to get a day job :crying:

so we found out today that my hubby offically didn't get the job... he wasn't sure he wanted after all though so it is a good thing.... their reasoning for not hiring him is crazy....

We found your qualifications to be impressive. However, at this time we have decided to pursue other candidates whose experience and background more closely match the requirements for the position. Since you possess good credentials, we will keep your application on file for one year in the event that a more suitable position becomes available.

He totally has the right experience for that job :P.... Hubby said he has even used the type of forklifts they used and everything....

I think because he is young they think he doesn't have a lot of experience etc...... :P .... at his present job and his last one.. he was one of the top workers there and he is also a quick learner.... and he is very responsible for his age

they don't know what they passed up :P ... too bad for them :P

MarilynP, hope your hubby will get a good job that he'll like. My hubby works second shift (3.30 PM - 12 AM, sometimes until 2AM if there's any over time), so I know it's a bit hard for you. Now I'm getting used to it coz I know how much he loves his job.

Good luck! (F)

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

well, hubby is still at his same job.... He can't really change jobs right now because of my pregnancy ... we can't be without the health insurance .... The last couple of weeks he has been working from about 3pm till sometimes 3 am (sometimes a little sooner, sometimes a little later :P)

Well yesterday hubby found out that there was an opening in first shift and he applied for it.... He says the shift starts at 5 or 6 am and they usually get out around 2pm (the latest he said they got out was about 4:30pm)

He isn't sure they will give it to him because he is one of the best workers there and they might want to keep him where he is.... Hubby says they would have to hire 3 or 4 guys to cover the work he does....

We will see what happens... It would be so nice to have the evenings together rather then the early mornings when I am half asleep etc.... We might even have a somewhat normal life :D

I wanted to mention that if he gets this position it will mean a little less pay because of less hours and he won't get the extra 8% for having the evening shift but I don't care :P
