as many of you might remember, my hubby was having problems with his job.... He was working really long hours, sometimes up to 16 hours a day some days :o ....

We decided to causally look for a new job for him after we got back from our trip....

Well hubby's hours have been cut back quite a bit the last few weeks or so..... He is usually home before 11.... which means not a lot of overtime anymore.... but at least he isn't as tired anymore....

huuby applied for a bunch of jobs this last Friday....

He got a call back from the one that offered the most money but it is basically the same hours he works now (11am - 7:30pm, right now his shift is 12pm to 8:30pm with a couple hours of overtime usually) and the job is in Orange County about a 40 minute drive without traffic from where we live now... so we would probably have to move..... and renting in Orange county is exspensive....

He has an interview for tomorrow morning.... we will see how it goes....

I was hoping he would get a job where he worked more during the day.... I am tired of spending my evenings by myself and eating dinner by myself :P

Good luck with the job hunt. Orange County is a pretty nice place to work and 40 minutes is probably about average for southern California commutes!

part of me doesn't want him to get the job  but he seems to get every job he interviews for :P

I am proud of my hubby, he is a hard worker and very good at what he does

.... we are lucky right now because we live only about 15 minutes away from his work....

we would probaby move.... i did a quick search of rentals in Orange County and there were a few places that were half decent....

I probably will look for work to in Orange County, I always see a lot of people looking for nannies etc, in that area.... So with both of our jobs we should be able to afford to live there..... I just don;t want any more time taken away from us if we can help it

Good luck to your hubby, Marilyn. Henry recently got a job on a 7am-3pm shift. Last week they switched him to 3pm -11pm. drat! I agree with you, Marilyn, I don't like not seeing him when I come home and eating dinner alone! The only upside is now I can watch LOST in peace.
