hey merc i guess this thread is as good a place to ask as any.. a lady from our branch in Peru, shes visiting us at work here in the US, someone mentioned Costa Rica and her nose went up an inch... are there cultural issues between people from thsoe countries? Do they look down on Costa Ricans or something? Just curious.

well you find people of all sorts all over the world.....haven't heard anything about Costa Rica specifically but there are some people that talk some trash about Central America and Mexico. But you have people here in the U.S. that talk trash about the South. There's plenty of open minded people that don't think like that though, so it just depends on who you are talking to I guess.

I have noticed that alot of people from peru get very offended easily, always defensive like somebody is out to get them.
