Ok, so when I do a timeline search for K1's sent in December or later (2007-12-01 start date) to only the CSC, it says that 5 have been approved in this time frame at CSC. Four of the five were approved on 3/11/2008.

(1) What's going there? Why were 4 all of sudden approved on that date? Any ideas?

(2) The countries that were approved were Mexico, Hungry, Cuba, and Philippines. Why would those have been selected for approval so early out of the hundreds submitted in this time frame?

I'm just looking for some rational to USCIS approvals at CSC. Anyone got any ideas?

Better yet why are there December filers being approved when Nov and Oct filers have not been?

Even though USCIS claims to process petitions in the order they are recieved there really seems to be no ryhme or reason to how they do things and it does not seem to follow along lines of certain countries either.

It's really frustrating when that happens for those of us sitting here with nothing. VSC went through a similar thing (granted, it was on a much shorter timetable, but equally frustrating for the VSCers who had been waiting two months to see people being approved after 20 days) and someone said they were probably training new people. I hate all of this waiting!! But guilty as I would feel about it...I wouldn't send it back if I got one of those random early approvals if I got one.

That is a very good question, sadly I don't have an answer. We really don't know why there is so much randomness.

I understand your frustration.

It's probably bc VJ is such a small fraction of the actual numbers of people going through this. Also, just because Oct and Nov filers aren't approved yet and some Dec are doesn't mean the Oct and Nov's haven't STARTED being processed...just taking longer. Look at my timeline for example and compare to other July cases. Mine took longer than most because the name check supposedly took so long. Other people flew through that step in a day or two and mine took months. We aren't notified or have any way of knowing when they START processing our cases...ONLY when they are DONE.

Hang in there guys, you don't even know what waiting is yet :P ! And you most certainly won't be waiting much longer...you are actually much luckier than the may-august group. Be happy :)

I hate hearing this! I know I won't have to wait as long as other people have, and I'm grateful for that...but it doesn't make it any easier and it certainly doesn't make anyone feel better about watching others who filed months after them be approved. :P

Sorry, I know. I've been there and done that. I guess when I was in your shoes it made me feel better to know that there were indeed other people who waited longer than we had. I felt so abnormal being just about the last people approved so that was my consolation as odd as that may sound.

It sucks waiting longer than others of course. But if you read what I said, it makes sense that the reason it seems so unfair is that we don't actually know when they start putting our file through their "checks". I'm sure they consider this processing in order. It just doesn't appear in order to us because we only see the end result of when we & everyone around us get approved.

Just trying to help you guys understand why it seems out of order which is what the OP & the 2nd post were asking for opinions on.

They need to share more of their processes with us to lessen the stress of the unknown that we all go through. I'm sure it would take some pressure off the USCIS customer service phones having to answer to so many people wondering what the heck is up with their case. The online updates just aren't adequate.

Then maybe they could get back to approving orders faster! :D It really would be more comforting to know what they're actually doing with our cases...even though I know exactly what's going on with me right now. It's sitting at the bottom of a pile somewhere. I know I'm in for a bit of a wait...if I get a touch before June I'll be shocked. I wish that made me more patient! :goofy:

Wouldn't that be nice. What bothers me most right now is the VSC approvals coming in under a month while CSC continues to move slow as molasses. I don't get why CSC isn't sending files to VSC for approval then. (then again we know it takes CSC forever to send packages anywhere too so idk if it would even save any time)

I know there's a whole thread on this somewhere lol. But geez it's just so wrong!

I know what you mean...I try not to even read VSC threads anymore because it's just depressing. Which consulate are you going through? My fiance will be going to Vancouver.

People for years have been trying to crack the system of CSC. Many have attempted, even more have failed. Good theories, hypothesis, and guesses have been formed, but not proven with concrete evidence.

So with that being said, you all can keep trying to break the system or move on to something better to spend your time.

I tired and failed, and that is time I will never get back in my life.
