Hi guys.

I hope you're all doing well. Yesterday my fiancee, Caroline, received notification of the NOA2. I know we have a little time to go before I can leave UK for California, but one thing I need to know is this. When is the best time to apply for the police check? I know that it takes forty days but I also heard (maybe wrongly) that once received that it expires after three months. So I was just wondering if I should apply for it now or wait for a little while longer before proceeding?

Any information would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Paul.

If you look in this link http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/iv/ds2001.html#cr it gives all the info you require. The embassy are honouring the acpo certificate for 12 months.
