No matter what you decide, I would keep it consistant throughout the form.

Some folks have used United Kingdom, some Great Britain.

I'm planning to use United Kingdom.

United Kingdom is the official name of the country. England is just one part of the UK. I used United Kingdom (or UK for short) consistently on all my forms.

yep, already did! Thanks.

If you go to USCIS.gov you can download fillable versions of the I-129F and the G-325a.

ok, sweet. Cheers for that.

Now - another question, on the 129F, it says residence of parents. WHat if they are deceased?

Ah - cool! Smart girl!

PS - I used "UK", as I was squeezing in "Northern Ireland - UK".

His parents are gone. We put "deceased" and the date of death.

Well, when we sent ours we hand-wrote them and squeezed that in.

How do you guys get all that info about being touched & passing NOAs, is there a place to sign up for it or a site to look at?

Once you have sent in the petition, USCIS gives it a case number. After you have the case number you can create a portfolio on USCIS.gov and sign up for e-mail notification, watch for touches, etc.

Excellent. It takes a week or maybe longer for them to issue the case number. That's the NOA1 and you will get that in the mail.

If you want your case number sooner, there's a little trick we use here. It's called 'send a personal check' and 'online banking' - LOL. When USCIS deposits your check, they stamp the case number on the back of it. Once it has cleared your bank, you can see the case number on the back. And that might happen before you get the NOA1 in the mail. So, if you have online banking, you might be able to ascertain the number from the image on your monitor. Or, if you don't bank online, your bank MAY be able to tell you - it's just harder for them to do in this day and age of paperless banking.
