Question about Birth Certificate if I am naturalized USC

Hello everyone, we are now getting prepared to get all our paperwork ready for our June AOS interview. I would like to know if I (the petioner) would need to present a birth certificate translated to English as well or can I just show my US naturalization papers and passport instead?

I don't even know where my birth certificate is so I am trying to figure out what I need without creating extra work for me.

February 2004

One year and 1/2 later:

9-17-2005 -Happily Married!!

10-11-2005 - Chicago lockbox receives AOS and EAD

10-20-2005 - AOS & EAD checks cashed

10-21-2005 - 1st NOAs for AOS & EAD received in the mail.

10-22-2005 - EAD and AOS "touched"

11-02-2005 - 2nd "Touched" for EAD

11-09-2005 - Got AOS Biometric letter for November 22nd.

11-22-2005 - AOS Biometrics appointment

11-23-2005 - 2nd "Touched" for AOS

12-15-2005 - 3rd "Touched"

01-19-2006 - 90 Days passed - Infopass Visit to inquiry about Biometrics

01-19-2006 - Biometrics done in Brooklyn

01-19-2006 - 4th "Touched" for EAD

01-21-2006 - 5th "Touched" for EAD

01-23-2006 - EAD Approved !!

01-28-2006 - EAD Card received!!

02-15-2006 - AOS Interview Letter received -

06-07-2006 - Interview date

06-07-2006 -APPROVED!!!

07-17-2006 - Received Welcome letter. Now waiting for GC.

07-24-2006 - GREEN CARD IN OUR HANDS!! We are done for now!!

Your passport identity page copy should suffice to prove your US citizenship for the AOS package. That's how I did mine and didn't get any RFE's. Naturalization paper also satisfies this requirement. You only need to include one, both would seem redundant.

I-129F(K-1)

9/7/04: Engaged

10/25/04: Sent I-129F original submission (Nebraska SC)

8/1/05: K-1 visa approved!

12/3/05: My honey and I entered through Chicago O'Hare together. She is finally home with me!

I-485 AOS

12/21/05: Got married

12/22/05: Applied for SSN, had to do manual verification, 6-8 wks:(; completed I-693 vaccination supplement w/ local civial surgeon

1/09/06: Got SSN card in mail, this is fast!

1/20/06: Sent AOS, EAD and AP package to Chicago Lockbox

1/31/06: Received NOA1's for AOS, EAD & AP

2/3/06: Biometric appt letter arrived today (wow! that's fast!), scheduled for Wed. 2/22/06

2/22/06: Biometric done, but found out we had the wrong DOB filled out on her I-485, cannot be corrected at the time because her case isn't in the "system" yet. This is stressful.

2/25/06: I-485 touched

3/6/06: Infopass Appt in downtown Chicago to resolve the DOB issue. Had to send a letter to the processing center.

3/24/06: AP approved and sent in mail!

3/27/06: EAD touched.

3/28/06: EAD approved online

3/29/06: AP received in mail

4/29/06: AOS NOA2 received -- interview date June 28 2006. Online status shows still in process.

6/28/06: AOS INTERVIEW in downtown Chicago Sucess! Passport got stamped and Green Card is on its way!

7/8/06: Green Card arrived

I-751 Remove Condition

4/28/08: Sent I-751 package to NSC

4/30/08: NOA1 date

5/12/08: 1st NOA for biometric appt on 5/28/08

5/16/08: Another NOA for biometric appt on 6/5/08, we are confused

Hi old Colombian K1ers!

I sent a copy of my naturalization certificate (I don't have a birth certificate.) Make sure to take your passport to the interview though (He wanted to see mine to verify the dates of my travel to Colombia.) Good Luck

April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.
