I just received approval emails for both my I-130 and I-129F. However, since I had my I-129F fee waived, I had been told that my I-129F would be "administratively closed". Is this not the case since I was sent an NOA2 approval notice for the I-129F? I am hoping for the K-3 despite the additional costs and hassles associated with this visa versus the CR-1.

Thanks for your input,

CG

You won't know until you get a case number from NVC. A good indication will come from the wording on your I-130 approval notice when you see it. If it says your relative is in the US and the petition will be held, that's a pretty good indication that your I-129F will end up continuing through the process. If your I-130 notice instead says the petition is going to NVC, you'll just have to wait and see if they both show up there.

Remember, you'll get no information from NVC on a K3/I-129F case without talking to a human.

Thanks Pushbrk, I was actually hoping for an answer from you. BTW, thanks for all your advice throughout the process. You personally have been a great help.

Do I just have to start calling NVC on a regular basis to find out when they receive the case?

Peace,

CG

Yes. I'd give it a week or so before calling. You can ask about both cases.
