I have a cousin who just filed a I130 for her husband but she didnt let him fill it out she did it for him, she is now freaking out thinking she may get in trouble. I told they may check into it but how will they know otherwise. I mean seriously i'm sure she is not the only one i told her. I advise her to come on here and ask any veterans questions about it. She said she didnt know at first that he had to since he was abroad but now she does.....this is crazy

and who is petitioning for who in that story? If your cousin is a petitioner, she suppose to fill out I-130, or at least sign it.

i want to see this topic for a long time.

just to answer your question, if she is a petitioner she is suppose to sign out some forms and some she cannot sign.

for example i130, i864 she sign

ds3032, ds230 her husband sign

but if she decides to sign both other form because of the hassle just don't let nvc know it will cause trouble

she should let her husband know about it.

because during the interview they ask who help you complete the form. he should state that his wife help him fill out all the form and submit.

so the main point here is keep it secret as much as she can, since it between her husband and her

there will be nothing wrong unless her husband said it not his signature and nvc know about it there will be more trouble.
