I'm tired of us getting lost in all this mess. Please join with me and call your Senators and Congressperson. Tell them everything we have been discussing here. Remind them that it will effect all of us Americans that are doing it the right way...cause it will flood the system with 10 million new applicants. Our times will slow to a virtual stand still. Tell them that you will not support any legislation that does not address the issue of REAL American families. Make them listen to our side. This is the only hope we have.

troublemaker

I'd like to think problem-solver. I'm just tired of being mad. Only thing I can think to do is try to refocus the issue on solutions that don't penalize us. I'm also writing letters to the editors of the LA Times and Long Beach Press-Telegram. And seriously thinking about making a huge sign for Emmie's stroller and go stand in front of the courthouse holding it.

Not only have I already done this, I have also mailed the white house over it. They are so willing to make consessions to work based immigration, yet when it comes to life and love and family and happiness the process is painful, lengthy and in some cases prohibitive. And they mainly just ignore it barely even mentioning it through this.

Mail the white house? LOL

I have been raising hell with my 2 US Senators and US House Congressman for quite some time. I'm sure they are quite aware of my opinions on illegal immigration and the past due need for immigration and employment reform. Real reform...not the lies of 1986 and 1996.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
