Being stubborn

Hi fellow Filipinas. We are known to be stubborn , I know that I am.

Have you ever done something that irked your husband or fiance just because you want to do it, even if he said no?

For me, it was the cooking of the dried fish. I arrived here October last year but it was only about February this year that I was able to buy dried fish in an asian shop. I missed it bad. My husband has been to the Philippines during his navy days and knows how it smells so he told me he didn't want me to cook it inside the kitchen. Being the stubborn Filipina that I am, I did cook it in the kitchen, covering it as much as possible but well, of course it smelled and Joe just looked at me and said " told you so" but I know he was upset. Anyhow, I kissed him and said that he was right, this time, and I will cook it in the garage the next time. The kiss did it and he just shook his head and said that by far I am the most stubborn woman he has ever met but he loves it :)

lol. im not really a big fan of dried fish (i do eat them of course but im a bit alergic of too much salt) BUT i love the smell! lol... i dont know why but feels like i'll have a good appetite just smelling the dried fish being fried in the pan...

as for the stubbornness, ive got a few of them (immature thing) but there's one example that leads to a big "tampo" lol... last yr around winter time at least two months after i got my drivers license, he wants me to drive the big silverado. since he said my mustang which is convertible by the way (not a perfect car in a snowy weather) and not even a 4 wheel drive so its not good for a winter vehicle. so here i am fighting for my "theory" that i just got my license and my instructor even told me that im not ready for a truck yet and that i should drive my car till im comfortable driving in the road... but my husband said NO, truck is good for you because you can see and if there's something happened (hoping there wouldnt be), truck is safer... but i told him, its too big for me, im not used to it yet, im scared blah blah blah till he went to work without saying goodbye, not in good terms while i slammed the door in front of him just so i couldnt listen anymore to his ranting. lol... i even texted him how can you even trust me to drive a truck when you yourself wouldnt even ride with me... so after work we talked things and suddenly he said we'll go to his friend's house and that im driving. of course i was scared especially that he's the passenger but i really tried to show my best that i can drive lol... the ride wasnt smooth coz he talked so much about know your speed limit, watch the road, relax (how can i relax), and give your signal when turning left! watch the mirror! etc lol... we made it of course lol... so that was my first riding the big truck with him and since then during winter ive been driving the truck and to be honest i love it! its really different from my car. pretty smooth and safe (parking is pain in the butt). and now that the truck is needed again in our store for hauling boats for the summer, ill be sad by it... im loving it already lol... but anyways what i realized though is somehow i tend not to listen to him and he got hurt when i trusted my driving instructor than him lol... im a bit stubborn in that way. not believing his judgement especially when it comes to my capabilities (he believes in me more than i believe in myself lol)... oh well, and the list just goes on and on but we always resolves things. could be me crawling towards him, or him crawling towards me. whoever is guilty lol...

I always like my husband to look good and feel good coz im proud that if our friends and family say that he look "different" ( handsome) and happy since we got married. So im the one who choose his clothes and even saying its time to dye his beard, lol. If he dont want to do what i want I pouted esp when its abt his grooming. It was valentine day so i reminded him to dye his beard coz we're going out but he didnt listen to me. When he was at work he keep calling and teasing me, anyways he's a good teaser and im pikon. So he knew im pissed and will not go out for a date, he asked to buy a dye so we did. When we were at the store, he asked me if i like this or that...i didnt talk or what, no gesture at all. And that led him to bring me home, lol! he said that im a bit stubborn and he loves it when my lips pointed and my eyebrows are curved, still no word from me. Vday we're quietly watching tv in separate room coz when im quite upset i wanted to be alone for a while and he knows that from the very start, lol but we always patch things before we sleep and i love it coz i've got more than what i want and that is going out of town, since that i always got chocolates or little treats from him, name it and he'll get it hahahahaha!!!
