I told him that all I need is something that I can take it without too much fuss..I would love to have a red escort like Mags have but we have a good deal with this one, I am on my own to pay this (see hubby? I'm so good girl :P ) . Reliable and its good enough for me to keep on practicing and drive to work back and forth!

Congrats, Luz! Perhaps you getting your learner's permit will get me to kick my own ####### into gear and get mine! I think Platy is dreading teaching me - he's a control freak at the wheel.

Now you have to name it a classic name like Margery or Cynthia. You can't have Beryl - that's mine.

My old job recently limited internet access - no VJ! I will be starting a new job in a week or so, but since I will be a federal employee I doubt I will have VJ access there either. I try and catch up in the evening but there is just so much I can read!

Good to hear from you!

I start working on a regular hours since Monday and don't have much time posting here.

I'm catching up for few minutes and miss the ''fun''sometimes! :P

Congrats Luz on the new car! It's lovely, hope you enjoy it

Hey, congrats! Take my advice and let a professional do the teaching. I taught my wife and that alone nearly ended the marriage! :jest:

That is good advice. I try to teach my wife how to drive and she driving in our appartment parking lot.. I am have a freaking heart attack and she is laughing her head off...

I got her professional driving lessons and the first guy was a flake. next I got her someone differnt and then some women smack her in the A$$...

but she seems still timid to drive far..

My husband Justin taught me how to drive and he was really good at it...but then again he does coaching for a living :P I think he took it like a job assignment, always remaining calm and following the format "you did XX...you should have done XX...because of..."

Except for a few times that he was like "Caro, stop...stop...STOP!"

 good times!

Saludos,

Caro

We were going to just get her a "beater" car from a small lot to let her learn on. We even looked at a 96 Sunfire for $1900. It wasn't a bad car but it just gave me a bad feeling and it had 184K miles on it. The guy from the Ford dealership that I have been dealing with gave me a deal I really couldn't pass up. This car had just came onto the lot that day. In fact we were looking at it while the owner was in signing the papers on the car she just traded for. It lists in KBB for $6300 and he let us have it for $4900. Then he somehow got us a 5.75% loan on the $3000 we financed. The car only has 82K miles on it and is a one owner. When I let her test drive it she got comfortable with it right away. This is a much better car for her to learn on than my Mustang. I bought a 1 year extended warranty so that takes the worry of a lemon off my mind.

Now, I did see the next car I want while we were waiting for the paperwork to go through. They had a red Mustang GT 500 Shelby sitting in the show room. OMG!!!! This thing was beautiful! For $50K the dealer said I could drive it home. :P I can dream, right?

Can I ask you what year is the car. It is a nice car. I just wish my wife would not be so freaking picky. It has to have nice back end design, has to BE WHITE. no other color. I try to talk her into a silver, or a gold or some other lighter color. but no it has to be white.

Yeah you can dream, just like when I went to a dealer last weekend with my wife, they had in the show room a nice Yellow VETTE. It was stright up Racing model, had everything, sat in it speedometer went to 240 or 250 MPH.

It was 60K

If I know how to post pics I would grab some pictures.
