I'd like to see some numbers on what percentage of the illegal community is here because they came here and gave birth....which btw you can't say they didn't know very well what they were doing.

"anchor babies"....interesting the terms you don't even know are out there. Anywhooo... I'm trying to relate to this the best I can, by envisioning another illegal act my parents could commit, because I can't relate to having illegal immigrant parents, and I guess I would have to say I'd do what I could to make sure they rectified the situation so they wouldn't have to look over their shoulder all the time and be in fear of the law coming to get them. But I wouldn't advocate them continuing to break a law.

now.. seriously.. I'd like to see a chart.. dunno if someone can provide it... I know for sure that the illegals that have been more than 5 years in USA have fake SS#'s and or ID's.. so. technically they are paying taxes, but can't file a return.. what's the number of illegals who have fake ss# and the ones who doesn't.. and.. in the case that there's a higher number of illegals who are indeed paying taxes.. wouldn't that 'they dont pay taxes phrase' would be a lie?

my main problem'd be.. if they are going to 'forget' criminal history of the illegal population.. I know a few amigos who have a couple of DUI in their records.. and it'd piss me off indeed that I have to have my record intact in order to become a citizen.. while they can just forget those things.. that'd be unfair for example.. with fake social security numbers all the money that is taken out goes into an unclaimed pot at social security until they can figure out who the wages are assigned to. Since most are never assigned the wages are unaccounted for, therefore the person is NOT paying taxes.

Also Joe Blow Illegal Immigrant can claim 15 dependents on his w-4 and have $0 taxes taken out of his paycheck and since he is using a fake social and doesn't file a tax return, he is essentially NOT paying taxes. Employers are not required to check to see if he has 15 dependents because this check is supposed to be done at tax time with the tax fillings.

I do respect the fact that people are trying to help their families, but that does NOT give people the right to be here illegally-
