Not really... I have pretty low expectations as far as this board goes... esp with newbies who don't really know their netiquette.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I keep having faith in my fellow human, so I am constantly disappointed but unfailingly optimistic that they will do the right thing. You'd think I'd learn.

I know! Maybe I'll just go through each unacknowledged thread and post a "You're welcome" message! Kinda like I do when I open the door for someone and they walk right through without saying anything. :hehe:

It's just the right thing to do, IMO.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

No, but thank you for asking. I would imagine that you have not given much thought to thanking those who have taken part in your poll. I also do not expect a waiter to follow me to the parking lot and fall to their knees thanking me for the tip I left for them. Most information here is gratuitous and I do not think most expect a thank you, but it never hurts to be grateful and to express that gratitude.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)

Nagi, I agree that a thank you is the right thing but I don't think one should expect it nor be too put off when a thank you is not forthcoming. Politeness can go along way toward developing good relationships here and in most aspects of our lives.

It bugs me if I've typed out a detailed response and only they thank the person who wrote something inane with a :luv: attached to it.

I agree! Not that I've really had this happen to me, but I imagine it would annoy me if it did, and I feel for those whose posts are ignored.

Thank you's are cool, but it bugs me more when someone asks the same question (or states the should-now be corrected info) over and over again despite it being answered a few times over previously. I just wind up ignoring the subsequent requests.
