Holy Crow! It took me hours to get back on VJ!

I have a question....I was told by DOS that my Fiance's passport was already stamped with the visa. We know we have to wait for Cairo to send it back to him, and we know that could be a long time from now. My question is, isnt the visa good for 6 months on a K-1, i.e., he has 6 months in which to use it to come here? So when does that date kick in? Starting yesterday? Or will it kick in once the visa is in his hand?

I know, stupid question.

OOOOOOO Nagi I hope it's on its way !!!!

I believe the clock starts ticking the date the visa is stamped into the passport.

It's supposed to be good for a 6-month window. But seems to me we had a couple of people say their visa was only good for 2 or 3 months (can't remember which members right now, but maybe they will speak up.)

Happy Hump Day !

Thank you kindly, WOM! I read that too somewhere that now it is 2 to 3 months, but I thought that cant be right. Who knows, everything changes so fast now days.

Anyway, thanks for the reply. Heck, we waited this long for the visa, I guess waiting a bit longer wont kill us. But God knows best!

You are very hard to forget Nagi. You are a wonderful, contributing member of this board. Please don't put yourself down like that (L)

I'm just on information overload and not in the best shape lately. I actually had to keep a list while going through the pages of things I missed, and then forgot to add things that I had put on the list :lol:

PB, yes, I get told that a lot by folks. I do have a very low self image, to be frank. I think that comes from getting wacked in the head by pineapples in early childhood. :P Thanks for your kind words!

Whatever you just said about lists, missing pages and so forth.....that just made my head hurt.
