my husband's company cracks me up

This is putting the "play hard" thing mildly. These people party all the time. There is always a BBQ or a happy hour or something going on Every other Friday between memorial day and labor day they get to leave at 2 pm PAID to "enjoy the weather". They get massages at work. It's like working for google or something

It just cracked me up and thought I'd share.

Oh yeah my hubby loves it. It's a great place to work for. I like to tease him about it saying "what kind of mickey mouse company is this?" when they have roller disco parties and stuff

I remember id go home after work and id say i was tired. and my fiance would say "of what? the coffee parties? the 2 hour lunch bbq you guys have? Or the game time to relieve stress you dont have?" hahahaha ofcorse i had to make up SOMETHING i did at that point to get a backrub, the bus ride home was HORRIBLE

thanks, dean, we are both really happy with the company. They pay great, and the benefits are awesome. I am just glad it is a job that will make HIM happy. It's not a company that he's likely to ever leave. (And there is major job security, because MonsterCommerce is owned by Network Solutions, which if you don't know is a major player on the net scene.)

yeah I tease J about it all the time. Considering until May 8th he's still working from HOME!!!! (they got new office space and haven't finished it yet) I'm all "I'm 7 months pregnant and working full time, don't tell me that YOU are tired!!!"

question is, are they still hiring?

J wants me to apply (and then he'd get 1000 bucks if they hire me, which i am qualified in webdesign enough to get a job) but I don't wanna work outside the house anymore until the baby is older, yanno?

yeah it would! but it's not gonna happen.

Meanwhile I'm waiting for my boss to show up here one day this week so I can give my notice I've been told by both my hubby and my doc I need to slow down.

Its for the best at this month of pregnancy. I was working on my feet while pregnant with joshua a year ago up until 2 weeks before i gave birth, i sure wish i hadnt done that

I sit in a chair all day long and do nothing. You'd think that would be easy but it's not. My job is a piece of cake. My problem is that I can't do as much as I could with my other two kids because I'm older and because my body has a lot of stress on it right now (have to wear a brace for my pelvic pain, can't sleep at night, those types of things). So I need "rest and naps" more frequently now. So we've decided that I'm about done and my boss/brother will just have to find someone else to hire.
