Well I guess for all of you who are upset about the illegals and everything...take heart! They are doing something. They worked extremely hard to keep my fiance out of the country. And they won. Score one for the good guys.

Your fiancee is being allowed due process in the US. More than Mexico would offer you or me though.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

i am not going to argue with you today Pedroh, not to mention, this is NOT the thread to argue about something like this. MissLiss is angry and in pain. and this is HER thread. immigration blame game thread is in off topic elsewhere.

no.. i dont think it's another topic.. she was right.. and u said she was playin the blame game.. you and other are always complaining how the system doesn't work.. well.. I guess it worked this time.. they didn't allow a once illegal into the country.. so.. the system works.. i guess

I need to behave myself in Mexico so I never find out if that's the case.

First.. Mel.. so sorry to hear about the denial. Can you try again? or was that only a one shot deal?

well.. I don't see the blame game here.. didn't yall wanted real enforcement measures to not allow illegall immigrants?! so.. this is it.. ain't no blame game.. it happened.. so.. I guess u can be happy 'bout it

PWNED

Read again Pedro. The denial was based on the cocain stunt yrs ago, not illegal issue.

Do I have an issue with multi-millions of ppl just disregarding the laws of this land? Sure I do. It makes it harder to get any REAL immigration policies set forth. And yes, the ones that we have are antiquated enough that they no longer serve the purpose they were in place for. I personally do not care if they are mexican, salvadoran, columbian, ugandan, chinese, thai or where they're from. laws are made by the governments of the respecting lands. shouldn't they be respected? Or should just anyone go and do what they want because they dont agree with them?

Let's not lose sight of the fact that Melissa got some very disappointing news today, and that she could probably use some simple comfort rather than a bunch of people trying to make a point, mmmmkay?

once again, i think people need to be reminded that they were denied because of a bullsh!t drug issue, not because he was once there illegally.

That too.

Mirorgate, we have been advised this is the end of the road. Nothing left to try.

Giraffemd, I see you down there? Remember how we started on the same day with our processes and were racing to NOA2? Well I'm finally done with my process (much later than expected, but still).

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

So sorry you are going through this Mel. I do not know what to say other than I am sorry.

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT
