I know I'm not your favorite person, but I am really really sorry to hear that. Despite everything I would never wish what you're going through on ANYONE.

I'm really sorry Melissa.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

2008 is NOT that far off....you both are young, you can use this time to your advantage...you can finish up school/sock away some great money/etc.

I know this sounds #######, but I'm trying to show you that all is not lost.

Stina, thanks for the verses. God answered my prayer-He gave me an answer. It just wasn't the answer I wanted. I know He has plans for my life and please pray that He will make those plans clear to me.

Here's the situation as it stands for us...if I go to live in Mexico for the next 3 years, we will still have to file a Waiver at the end of the 3 years, because Javier will still have some time left of the 10 year bar for illegal presence. My waivers say I can't live in Mexico because of x, y, z (all of which are the unexaggerated truth) so I can't very well say I can't live in Mexico because of x, y, z if I've already been there 3 years. Therefore, our Waivers would never get approved. Also, I would have no means to support him to come back after all that time. This will be a permanent move.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Oh Melissa I am so sorry to hear that :(

Honestly this actually brought me to tears, this process can be so difficult at times and in some cases and it stinks. I get so frustrated that I need a brief rant here.

<rant>

They do need to relax a bit on some of the restrictions, you can't judge who a person is or what they are like on one sentance, or from a typed report. I know the rules are in place to protect citizens from bad things but when I see this, knowing that if its a USC marrying a USC no one cares at all it seems strict. I mean I've actually known someone with a previous meth addiction, 2 children who had spent years on welfare, who married a man with a police record that included multiple child abuse reports (she was unaware of). No one cared until the children were hurt, no one checked their backgrouds, their incomes, the medical or drug records.

This will be a permanent move.

Melissa,

There is a lot of American business expanding into Mexico. Has been for years and more are going every day. You may very well find that the qualities that make you "ordinary" in the labor force here make you stand out in Mexico. It may not be such a bad idea, especially if Javier can afford to support you for a few months while you feel the new country out.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll....

WHATEVER my lot, Thou hast taught me to say IT IS WELL, it is well with my soul.

God bless you all, we're going to be alright.

So very sorry.

A lesson for all.... stick to your initial story. Always. 'coming clean' is only hurts honest people.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
