Karo, thanks for sharing that...if anything, I hope this experience will help Javier to work on some better decision-making. I've been trying to help him-think before you do something. That's his problem-he just doesn't think before he does something. I told him think of what could possibly happen and how that might affect what you're trying to accomplish. It's a hard lesson to learn, but I'll bet probably what God had in mind for him with all this stuff....if anything, he'll go to these drug meetings, learn a lot (like Stewart, lol), and come out with a fresh perspective on life in general, having spent time around individuals with serious problems. I guess it can't hurt anything!!!

I've had VERY similar thoughts about stewart. Seems dumb in retrospect but when I happened I thougth for sure our chances at being together were ruined.

At the same time - they are boys...(sorry guys) and can make silly desicions sometimes!!!

Anyway...just my little version of support - see I'm not bad ALL The time

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Karo, you're not bad-just opinionated! And since I tend to be a peace-loving person, I prefer to forget the past...today's a new day!

I know im a little late in chiming in, but i do want to add my apologies as well. Ive really enjoyed your posts and i have been following your timeline somewhat, hoping for a good outcome. I know it sucks being apart from someone you love for a long and sometimes unknown length of time, (god knows weve all done it, some longer than others) but from the sounds of it, your seem very level headed about the whole situation.

Think of it this way: Think of all of the things that you and Javier could accomplish apart in that time frame and ultimately, you will end up being closer together because of it.

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

Melissa..

Was very happy to check on your thread and see you in better spirits today. Thrilled you think you found a plan of action. I think its a great idea and will keep you busy and move things along while you wait at the same time. I agree that keeping busy will make the time fly by for you both. ((HUGS))

Melissa, so good to hear such a positive attitude (if that's the right word to use)

You hang on in there girl, it's going to be hard but you will do it. I spent 15 years married in to the military and saw him for 7 of those years so I have an idea of what you are going through regarding the separation.

You will get there Melissa I'm sure, what you have mapped out sounds so positive and good, that I wish you all the luck in the world and will say God speed on this next stage of your journey ***Hugs ***** to you

And have the "princess" of all princess's weding day (F)

[The reason god put spaces in between your fingers was so another person's hands could fill it up.

I feel you Munchkins. Like I said on another thread, a friend of mine's husband is in the military...right now he's on a 3 month tour in Afghanistan.. :( They have a three year old and an almost one year old. We help each other a lot to get through the hard times. I just think it's another lesson in longsuffering-I must have not got it the first time (thanks God, lol!!)

Good plan MissLiss!!! best of luck.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Melissa, I am sorry to hear about the denial.. :(

What you can also do is (we did that while waiting for our visa), move to a third country. We moved to Montreal. We were so fed up with the visa b***** we just could not be separated anylonger. Yes, it is tough to leave everything behind, but for us, it was worth it.

Good luck to you and Javier!

Melissa -

My thoughts are with you. Don't dwell on it more than neccessary; through yourself into planning the biggest, frilliest, floweriest, rhinestoniest princess wedding you can. Time will pass before you know it.

Just a quick observation - I'm assuming Legal Net emailed Laurel back, and that's how you found out? How long did they know it was denied, and let you sit here in limbo waiting? Were they ever going to TELL you without you having to make inquiries, etc?

Happy

Well I expect pictures posted of this fairytale wedding, so that I can live my life vicariously through you! If there are not precisely 10,746 beads, rhinestones or sequins (your choice) on that dress I will be sorely disappointed :P

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.
