Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I remember seeing a picture of those beautiful cats a while back. Aren't they offered from the same company that managed to breed (supposedly) hypoallergenic cats? It was a big story a couple of years ago. I thought, "There's hope for me!" except that I don't have $5K to spend on a cat. Despite the breeding restrictions, I figure it's only a matter of time before they enter the mainstream. Or maybe I'm being optimistic. I'd really like to have a cat but I'm not sure it's worth chronic congestion. :(

We have 2 Siberian cats which are suppose to be allergy friendly!! My wife suffers badly around "normal" cats. has Asthma like reactions! When we only had 1 siberian, was no problem at all!! But when we added the second she has had mild allergy reactions, but very tolerable!! Should have stuck with just 1!! BUT my brother in law visits and he still has very bad reactions!! Works for some, but not all!! Best is to visit a breeder and see what ur reactions are.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I just find it silly to pay $22,000 for an animal. Think how many rescue cats you could give a good life to for that - or even a donation of half of that to a shelter could help out. I dunno, there are enough unwanted cats in the world without people messing with genetics and breeding even more. A cat is a cat - if you're looking for a type (or colour even) then you're after a fashion statement or a "look", not a pet. Adopt a cat for the personality, not what it looks like.

None of my cats have been adopted for the colour, ALL were taken in as strays or because they had wonderful personalities. Their colours or breed were never a factor.

Just my 2cents and I'm not wishing to offend at all. :)

Same here. I got my Cleopatra from a shelter just in the nick of time. I am so happy I was able to save her from being euthanized. Her being a smart and snuggly Siamese cat is just a bonus. I paid $100 for her adoption, actually it's more like a donation to the rescue shelter.

Paris Hilton spent a lot of $$$ on her pets, but after she got them she totally ignored and neglected them. What a fashion statement that is!
