Hello all,

Quick question that i'm sure has been covered before. If the petitioner's income is significantly above the minimum line (with pay stubs and a letter from employer), do tax returns, bank statements, and financial assets need to be presented? Thanks for any assistance on this one.

Sal

You will need to include your past 3 years tax returns + W-2's if possible. You can also request tax transcripts for free from the IRS, if you get the tax transcripts that is all you'll need to send. They took about 3 weeks after I faxed the application to come in the mail.

I also included the requested letter from my bank stating when the account was opened, the current balance, and all deposits made within the last year. I've heard this isn't necessary but it was easy/free to get and is additional evidence so I did it anyway.
