It could also be the fact it's winter time and they're playing in the snow .... in California, the weather is much better .... quite sunny, so they're more than likely feeling happy and want to work harder.

As we all know wintery weather puts us all on a 'low' .... we don't want to get out of bed, we especially wouldn't want to get out of bed to have to look through hundreds of boring brown enveloped packages full of other peoples relationship stuff.

When the spring comes and Vermont thaws out a little, they'll probably start getting busier again :pop:

More realistically, CSC processes a significant number more petitions that VSC does. You will see that reflected in the number of VSC approvals, in that there just isn't as many to get approved hence the appearance they are going slower. Overall, VSC appears to be keeping pace with CSC and I dare you to show me otherwise.

Does CSC have more staff? If VSC has fewer petitions and the same staff, they should be approving more than CSC. If they have less staff, it should be comparable. I don't think what we are seeing is comparable, at least not in the K3/CR1 area. They must be doing something else, yet the dates for K1 and I-130 are the same on their status page.

Of course our visas aren't the only thing they do so maybe they are putting time in elsewhere...

I don't think the processing dates as posted on the USCIS are accurate. For example, CSC states they are processing through July 2007 for the I-130. We are seeing more Sept and Oct petition approvals and July seems all but done. I do think VSC has a smaller staff and they do process fewer applications, but according to the I-130s I am tracking, VSC does not appear to be slower than CSC. You can check my tracking for yourself here.

One side note: I couldn't find statistical information on USCIS by Service Center, but here on VJ time line searches, I found that in the last 365 days, CSC has 489 I-130 applications recorded and VSC had 185. Thats a huge difference and probably can account why the VSC filers think that VSC is moving slower. In that same period queried, the average time wait for a NOA2 from CSC was 150 days and VSC was 130 days. I still maintain my position that the 2 service centers are processing applications at about the same speed.

Hi guys ...I did see tooo many CSC approvals lately ...including october filers .........Not from VSC why is that???:angry::angry::unsure:

really CSC is processing oct filers, check the official processing times and even my own personal case, still waiting inspite of senators, congress, VP involved.

all i can say CSC whether sun, fire or wind, is USELESS, by far the most lethargic service center. i will stand by Vermont where i got my entire immigration and naturalization done without too much of a delay. maybe unfortunately i don't want to say have patience since its not what i would do but being forced to contemplate.

If everyone who sent in an application posted here, the statistics would be more meaningful. So you can only draw so many conclusions from the data we have and have them be at all accurate.

Agreed. Although I obviously cannot track every single application filed at the Service Centers and the data is obviously not 100% accurate, it can be reasonably assumed to be representative. Regardless, I still maintain my position that the SCs seems to be working and approving applications at about the same speed. VSC is certainly approving applications; please refer to these 5 recent VSC approvals:

niceman (although he lists his SC as Texas, he resides in Atlanta which would make his SC actually Vermont)

let's not forget seanconneryii who was a November filer with VSC and who got an approved I-130 in January .... I can't recall the name of the other November VSC filer, but he was approved in February. So, yes, they are moving .... just a little willy nilly and random.
