Hi!

Does anyone know the exact content of the Packet 3 that is sent by the Montreal Embassy?

I already have my police certificates ready but I also wanted to have as many other documents ready in advance as I can so that I can turn in packet 3 quickly.

What are the documents that I will have to attach to the packet 3 vs. what are the documents that I will only bring with me on the day of the interview in Montreal?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Yohann.

You'd best post this in the Canada forum. I don't have the links personally, but I do believe that either the links, or a list of requirements that are in Package 3 from Montreal are available from members in the Canada forum.

Best of luck!

Thanks for all this information!

A couple of questions:

- In form DS-230 Part 1, under section 25 you have to list all the previous visits to the US....I went to the US dozens and dozens of times....Do you think I should list all of them?! (I would obviously have to annex another sheet since the form only has 3 lines....)....that would be a pretty difficult exercise to try to remember all the dates of my visits over the years!

- Also, do you know what I should put in the "Type of Visa" column since canadians don't need a visa to visit the US?

- So you are filling the forms manually? (they didn't provide you with a link to go and download electronic versions?)

Thank you and good luck filling the forms!!

visit in US

In my case, i did list all of them (but i had around 10) with just month/year. My old bank statements helped me quite much to figure out some dates. I also put some info on a separate sheet and wrote on the form see attached letter.

On the visa typ i put n/a

The forms

For the forms, i downloaded the last versions online a while ago (but they dont ask to do so) and started to fill up the pdf and saved it wich is quite convenient :)http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/81807.pdf (for the DS-230 part I and II)

the DS156 is only fillable online. http://evisaforms.state.gov/

Also, the forms they give you are outdated anyway (DS230 and I134) i don't think it's a big deal to just use the updated versions (but this is my personal opinion, they might aswell tell me it's not ok)

Wait, I'm confused. Do we MAIL them the i-134 with supporting documents BEFORE the interview? I thought we take that with us to the interview. (i'm the USC)

It looks like it's part of the checklist and it says to send the checklist items when you have all the documents. I do now. Should I be sending them to my fiance?

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

I've read somewhere on the forum that as K1 visa applicants we should check "No" to the question "Do you want the Social Security Administration to assign you an SSN?" in section 33a. of form DS-230.

Could you confirm?

Thanks!

Yohann.

I see on your signature that you already have you medical scheduled! They were able to give you an appointment in a week from now?! That's awesome! Did you finally decided to do the medical at Medisys?
