question about AOS

HELLO EVERY ONE

i had my interview yesterday and insaAllah expect the visa in 2 weeks

just want to ask some question about

should i have round trip ticket to go to usa after i will have the visa i am (k1 visa)

and what the papers i will need from here in Egypt that might need it when i go through AOS as orgonal birthcertificate translated or vaccination paper

and 3rd if any one know about that i want to study when i go there what papers should i have from here from my college or should i have TOEFEL

K-1 is an immigrant intent visa, it does not require a round trip ticket, get whatever is less expensive, we used a one way ticket.

Extra Birth Certs are required for later when you marry and adjust status, Vaccination record will be needed to adjust status too, you will take the record to a US Civil surgeon for transfer to a transcript.

Mohamed, plzz! Make sure you have your marriage certificate AND birth certificate translated into english in Egypt. you will need both of them here... English for everything here and Original and English Translated for when you start AOS. I would also suggest you go get more passport sized photos made bcz u will need about 4-6 of them for AOS when you start and they are MUCH cheaper in Egypt. My husband brought the vaccination record with him when he came and that paper was already in english. Then we took it to an immigration doc for him to get re checked out for the AOS.

And definitely get a one way ticket here bcz its cheaper... Hope that helps... -Tam

My fiance just came on a K1 visa from Egypt on March 14th with a one way ticket. There was a lot of discussion about this, but this is all that we needed. Also, Ashraf had his degree translated into English to help him find a job. Best of luck and God's blessings!!
