My husband is getting ready to go to Morocco for a visit. He has his AP papers but not a green card yet. Does he only need to bring the AP? Or should be bring any other documents with him? Just to be sure he has no issues getting back in? Thanks in advance.

An extra photo copy of the AP document to give the POE officer upon return to the USA, just in case the POE officer wants to keep a copy.

But NO, Nothing else other than passport is needed.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Just out of curiousity, why do you keep saying that? Has some CBP officer somewhere ever asked anyone for a copy? Do you realize that they keep their own (original) copy if they want it?

Sereia, do NOT give the POE officer an extra copy of the document. It ticks them off.

on his AP document on the bottom there is a photo of him on one side..and on the other side says "national benefits center parole stamp" but there is no stamp. is that normal!?!?

That's where the officer will stamp the document upon re-entry so, yes, that's normal.

no! just the AP document! is that bad? should i send him something else in the post? i thought everyone said here just to bring the AP! :(

No, the AP document is fine. Sorry for the panic attack. I just meant.... because I saw you post that he left with one AP doc.... that he didn't take all the copies that they sent in the original package.

yes he did leave with ONE AP document. not both. :( oh noooooooooooooooooooooo!

Oh. Well, on a bright note.... I believe I recall someone saying they only received one document and they were okay with it. Perhaps he can tell them that he did, too, if they ask. I'm sure he's not the only person who has presented one copy.

Okay.... just went and took a look at mine. I received one original and two copies.... only one of the copies with a pic because I only gave them two pics. Two of the copies have stamps on them, and one does not. They gave all of them back to me at the POE, which means they didn't keep any. So your husband's probably okay. If they need/want a copy they can just photocopy or scan it. He should be fine, Sereia. The main thing is that he has the original.
