no NOA1

I sent our K-1 application over 2 weeks ago. I haven't received an NOA1 in the mail and the check has not been cashed yet. We are going through the Nebraska Center. Is this unusual for Nebraska?

Aw a girleen, don't worry.

Patience is definately a must-have whilst going through the entire visa process. I know Nebraska is generally slower than other service centers, but be patient and you'll see results.

It took me 19 days through Nebraska.

Be aware that they might ship your application off to California, like they did with mine. This adds to the time.

Although I didn't file for a K1 I can tell you that I became apprehensive when my NOA1 (which was filed for 129F) didn't arrive within the usual 2 week period from the Chicago office, so I called USCIS. However, their response was that as long as its been under 30 days (from date of submission) that they would do nothing . So I was told to wait for a month even though most applicants were receiving their NOA1 in under 2 weeks. So hopefully you will receive it soon. I can truly empathize with you, I realize it's tough to be patient. Good luck to you and everyone else on VJ.

I dont know bout NSC but for CSC, we received our NOA1 around 3-4 weeks.. dang!
