AOS interview tomorrow

Our interview is tomorrow in Baltimore (a bit nervous) - do they tell you on the spot if you are approved / not approved?

Me and my wife just did our interview about one hour ago. They told us spot on that we are approved.

If you view my timeline I have notes posted.

Pretty painless. Make very certain you have copies of everything you have filed.

Also very important is the DS-3025 vaccination papers.

Don't worry. My wife was in a bit of a panic last night but I was not.

For the most part from reading many posts in the site, yes they do tell you on the spot.

Sometimes the approval will be pending FBI name check, so in that case do not let them keep AP or EAD card, you will need them while waiting for the FBI Check.

You may want to update your timeline, it is a bit confusing, it says CR-1/IR-1, yet you are talking about AOS.

Yup, I've heard these possible answers,

"You are approved but your name is still being cleared"

"You are approved and will be receiving your GC in 2 weeks"

"I will recommend you for approval and will receive the notice by mail"

"You will receive our decision by mail, we still have to review your case"

"You are not approved"

"We still need more information and need to bring extra documentation in order for us to approve your case"
