Hey everybody,

I've read that november filers have started to be approved by CSC... This is very encouraging and I am very excited to see that things are moving a little bit faster!!! Congratulations to all of you who have been approved!

However, I am a october filer and I haven't been approved yet. Last touched was end of februrary... Are other people in my case???

I am just wondering why later filers are approved before I am. I read USCIS was supposed to process each case chronologically, right?

I probably shouldn't worry or be too impatient, but waiting is killing me no

Yeah You Have nothing to Worry about! Alot of times it depends on the ucis agent who is reviewing your case! Some agents look at cases harder and longer then others!

But I don't want to be excited :crying: .. i just want our noa2 and be relieved...

As I always read here: There is no rhyme and reason to the USCIS way of approving applications.

What we could do is just wait, and wait, and be happy for those approved fast and lend encouragement to those waiting far longer than us and pray and pray that we get our approval soon... and i've heard buying more patients do work wonders, if I could locate any patience being sold @ a bargain, I will buy it all and distribute it here. .. as of now, i can only afford to buy for myself and sometimes i even run out of it.

God luck on our visa journey.

A common mistake is to think the adjudication process is nothing more than one person looking through a file and saying yes or no. What is chronological is that the first look by an adjudicator will occur pretty much in order. Then as the multiple steps continue, some cases will sit longer waiting for name checks or other responses before they can move to the next step in the process. If issues arise, a case may go through more steps than others. Some cases are selected for more detailed review for various reasons including random selection.

The adjudication process begins in order of receipt but from that point on, lots of things can happen, including something other than "approval".

That raises an interesting point - but I have to wonder, how much extra checks do some people need than others? I mean i've not really been waiting that long, but others who filed almost a month after me have already been approved. Neither I nor my fiance have unusual or common names, we've never been married, have no children, have met several times in person. It should be cut and dried I would have thought......but then what do I know...Nothing apparently!

25th September - Check cashed $1010.00 (OUCH!!)

29th September - Received NOA's for AOS/EAD/AP

17th October - Biometrics (Tampa Office)

17th October - AOS/EAD Touched

20th October - AOS Touched

21st October - AOS Touched

depends on the country of the foreign fiance/wife. their background (ie, criminal history, previous marriages, customs denial, etc) and it also depends on the US.Citizens side too. if you have a common name they usually have to do name checks which take longer etc etc.. nobody can give you a solid answer to why you're still waiting... you've already waited for so long, a couple of more weeks wont kill ya :)

It depends on the type of case, some cases are more complex than others, some cases require an RFE where others dont. It also depends on the worker your case ends up with, he/she may not work at a fast pace as their neighbor in the next cubie. Also when these come off the trucks, they are not in order as to what day you sent it, it goes to the SC in a bulk, and from there taken care of. Some end up ontop of others, even if the ones on the bottom were there first.

Its not per country or LUCK, they do the petitions as they are recieved. even if your missing eveidence, it may sit there a few more days longer, until they send an RFE.
